When will the practitioner arrive?
The practitioner will arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled start time. They will set-up all necessary equipment to ensure an on-time start.

What do I need to prepare?
There is nothing specifically you need to prepare. However, for massage, you should have an area large enough to fit a twin bed. The massage therapist will need room to move around the table for the session. For yoga and Pilates, you need an area for a mat and enough space to move around comfortably. Also, our wellness practitioners will be asking for any medical history or issues they should be aware of before starting the session. Your safety is our foremost concern and our team may decline service if they feel, in their professional opinion, that the service may exacerbate and negatively effect an existing issue.

What if I am late to my appointment?
We understand that traffic can be difficult and meetings run long sometimes, so we offer a 10 minute grace period. After 10 minutes, we start the clock on the session and if you do not arrive within 20 minutes of the scheduled start time, we cancel the appointment and charge for the full session as per our policy. We do this so that all of our clients can expect timely treatment and so that one delay does not affect the rest of the schedule.

Can I add-on an additional appointment during my session?
This is a case-by-case basis. If the practitioner is available following your treatment, then add-on sessions can be scheduled. However, all add-on sessions must be approved by the office and confirmed by the practitioner.

Can I communicate with my practitioner during the session?
Yes, absolutely! We encourage our clients to ask questions and notify our team if something does not feel right or if they can adjust technique/pressure/style to feel more comfortable. This is your time and your session and it is our focus to make sure you are as happy as possible. Our practitioners are collaborative by nature and want to hear feedback during the session, so please don’t be shy to express your feedback.

What if I am unsure of which Type of massage to choose?
Our massage therapists are skilled in multiple modalities. Please consult with them before the start of your session if you are unsure which type of massage to select and they will help guide you in the proper direction.

What should I expect from my first session?
For massage, yoga, and Pilates, you should expect the practitioner to perform an in-take to get to know your health and injury history so that they can perform the session safely and effectively. Also, it allows them to customize the sessions specifically to you and to your needs.

Which supplies does Refresh Body provide?
For massage, we provide a heated massage table, high-thread count sheets, and a plush towel including an assortment of lotion, and essential oils.
For prenatal clients, we also offer the luxury of a Body Cushion system. The Body Cushion system is specifically designed for clients to safely lay face-down during their session for a more effective and relaxing treatment.
For Thai massage, we bring a Thai mat rather than a table, which allows our clients to stretch more effectively.
For yoga and Pilates, we request clients provide their own mats and equipment.

How do I order a service from Refresh Body?
We offer two easy ways to schedule a service. Our website, www.RefreshBody.com , allows for same-day and future booking. It also offers multiple booking options such as back-to-back appointments (1 practitioner to perform 2 sessions) or couple’s sessions (2 practitioners for 2 sessions occurring at the same time). The website also offers the opportunity to purchase package deals for additional savings as well as gift cards.
Clients can also call our office at 800-616-9271 to speak with a representative, schedule an appointment, and ask questions. The office is available 7 days a week from 9am – 10pm.

Refresh Body currently serves Manhattan below 100th St. We also service from West Hampton to East Hampton between Memorial Day to Labor Day.
